You’ve been asking how we’re planning on keeping your children safe during these uncertain times. Here’s some answers!

What steps has Bright Start taken prior to opening the school.

As part of our opening process, the school has been thorough cleaned and sanitized (see certificate on our web site as well as our video) and on going training for teacher regarding the preschool’s procedures, social distancing, and daily cleaning efforts continues on bi weekly basis.

What are the daily cleaning protocols at the at Bright Start?

High-touch surfaces will be cleaned multiple times per day. (Doorknobs, restrooms, light switches, etc.) The school will receive a thorough cleaning each night including all classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas. All cleaning products are EPA certified.

Will there be fewer children in a classroom?

Our classes will follow current state and local guidelines as it relates to class sizes. Preschool class sizes will be limited to ten students. Toddler class sizes will be limited to 6 each group and Infant teacher child ratio will be 1-3. Children will stay with the same classroom group throughout the school day. Classes will not mix.

Will Bright Start staff will wear face coverings?

YES!

Staff will be wearing face coverings. Local and state health departments recommend that children age three years and older wear a face covering. If parents choose to have their child wear a face covering they can do so. All reusable face covering will be clearly marked and must have few on hand to make sure the masks used are clean.

What is Bright Start's health and safety policy for students and staff?

Visitors will be restricted from campus. Only Bright Start teachers and staff will be with students throughout the preschool day. Upon arrival at preschool, temperature (using a no-touch thermometer) and overall wellness checks will be administered to all staff and students. As well, we will implement our already rigorous cleaning, sanitization, and hygiene practices, including frequent hand washing and thoroughly cleaning high-touch surfaces and items inside and outside the classroom.

Will Bright start be offering hot lunches at this time?

We are now offering hot lunch for an additional cost. Please contact the office for details.

Will children be be spending lots time outdoors?

Following state and local guidelines. Children will be spending lots of time outdoors. All equipment used will be sanitized after each use. Children will wash their hands prior to re-entering the classroom.

While we have taken these precautions to reduce risk of infection, it is not possible for any entity to guarantee that a student or staff member will not be exposed to Covid-19.
